Matthew Robins is an artist and musician from Cornwall, although he lives in London at the moment. He has recently performed his work at the V&A, the De La Warr Pavilian, the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, the National Theatre, the Roundhouse and the Barbican, and has made shows for Duckie, Stranger than Paradise, and is now a record breaker, having been one of 851 ukulele players at the London Ukulele festival.
His most recent work, The Death of Flyboy, was recently seen at Twisted Christmas at the Barbican in London, and he returns to the National Theatre this summer for Watch This Space, performing Matthew Robins’ Science Fiction Double Feature in which he will premiere eight new shows, before embarking on his own first tour.

March 2010
- Matthew collaborates with composer Brian Irvine and writer John McIlduff
to make live animations for Rain Falling Up, a modern oratorio for children.
Premiere performance at the Waterfront, Belfast, with the Ulster Orchestra.

for Movies in Minutes, and chapters 11 & 12 of The Odyssey,
for Four Stories High.
December 2009
- Matthew is in residence at Battersea Arts Centre, and begins work on a
new show, Sad Lucy - A Fish Opera, lyrics by Viviane Schwarz.
